On December 14, 2009, SPARK provided free Reiki sessions at the Brooklyn Chinese-American Association in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. SPARK volunteers treated seniors and staff.

11/1/09 & 11/15/09

On November 1 and 15, 2009, SPARK provided free Reiki tutorials at the Greater Chinatown Community Association in New York City's Chinatown. Each session included an explanation and demonstration of Reiki and generated interest for SPARK's ongoing Chinatown Reiki programs and upcoming free workshops.

10/16/09

On October 16, 2009, SPARK participated in conjunction with St. Vincent's hospital at a health fair at The Episcopal Church of Our Savior on Henry Street, in Manhattan's Chinatown. SPARK volunteers treated over 50 people.

9/11/09

On September 11, 2009, the Dutch television show "Man Bijt Hond" on station NCRV featured SPARK as part of a program dedicated to the events of 9/11. Watch the video.

9/2/09 & 9/7/09

On September 2 & 7, 2009, SPARK provided free Reiki services for the Chinese community at the Hoy Sung Ning Young Association in Manhattan's Chinatown. Guests were treated on a first-come, first-served basis and totaled 90 people over the two days.
